The Vaša prava Bosne i Hercegovine Association is a local, non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was established in 1996 as a network of information and legal assistance centres under the auspices of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), whose mission is to ensure the safe, legal and dignified return of refugees and displaced persons to their pre-war homes. The project was carried out by four international and national NGOs until December 2003, when the network became a national NGO “Your Rights” – the Legal Aid Network, which included the work, mandate and objectives of the former network of information and legal aid centres funded by UNHCR. ALAC acts as a legal aid centre in cases reported by citizens to identify structural, institutional and legal vulnerabilities. The Vaša prava BiH Association, based in Sarajevo, is a leading non-governmental and non-profit organization that assists users throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina in all matters relating to civil and human rights. As a result, many firms have doubly qualified lawyers. TI BiH notes that only one in ten whistleblowers in Bosnia and Herzegovina can use legal protection mechanisms because current laws do not recognize them because they do not. We provide high quality services in accordance with international standards and local best practices for leading companies and organizations internationally.
